● State Selection Camp

The Colorado Youth Hockey Selection Camp is held annually and serves as the first step in USA Hockey’s elite player pathway. Participation is invite-only, with each association nominating players—typically from the AAA and AA levels across the state. Eligible Colorado residents, including those billeted out of state at hockey academies, are placed on teams and compete in a weekend series of games evaluated by scouts and coaches from outside Colorado. This ensures selections are unbiased and based solely on on-ice performance. Top players advance to the Western Regional High-Performance or Rocky Mountain District Camps to compete against peers from across the region, with the best players earning invitations to USA Hockey National Camps, the highest level of evaluation and development in the country.

• Boys - Birth Years 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011
• Girls - Birth Years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012

Registration

• Opens: Nov 30, 2024
• Closes: Jan 15, 2025 (11:59pm, no exceptions)
• No payment required for initial registration
• Open to Colorado residents & U.S. citizens only
• High volume may limit selections

Final invitations: Sent Feb 1, 2025. Payment due within 14 days or spot forfeited.

Cost: $320 (includes fees, jersey, socks, 3 games, and potential All-Star game)
